Tracy Lovejoy is a senior associate within the Planning and Environment team and Real Estate department.
She’s a planning specialist with 20 years of experience in town and country planning, compulsory purchase, highway and agricultural law in contentious matters. She also advises in development projects.
Tracy started her practice as a pupil barrister in 9 Stone Buildings, a chancery set of chambers in London. She then moved to Waverley District Council and developed her planning specialism, working on: enforcement matters, planning applications and appeals and lawful development certificates. She also advised on planning committee.
She spent a further six years in private practice at Hammonds Solicitors. She assisted with planning, highway and compulsory purchase order matters to the then regional development agency, housebuilders, local authorities and supermarkets.
Prior to joining Irwin Mitchell, she was the property and planning team leader at Bromsgrove District Council. She then became the head of planning at Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors, where she developed a specialism in the agriculture sector.
