To buy or not to buy (but can I afford it?)

An interesting article from The Telegraph has picked up that it can take the average first time buyer 10 years to save for a deposit to buy a house. Theresa May's plan to address this is build, build, build. Unfortunately we don't have the specifics of where, when and how this housing supply will come to save the lost years of first time buyers. It is also unclear whether this increase in supply will affect affordability.

Let's wait and see what the housing white paper brings.

To address the affordability crisis Theresa May’s party has set a target to deliver one million new homes by 2020, the details of which should be outlined in the housing white paper expected this month.”
