"Brand New": Thomas Eggar becomes Irwin Mitchell

In December 2015, Thomas Eggar LLP and Irwin Mitchell LLP joined forces, in a merger which has moved our planning team from a regional team with a national outlook to a truly national one. 

As of 1 June 2016,  Thomas Eggar said  good bye to its old brand and adopted that of Irwin Mitchell LLP. As such, you will probably have noticed the 'brand' new name,  logo and website making an appearance. 

The blog will continue and I will make you aware of any changes, as a result of the integration, if and when they arise. 

We are all very excited by the new opportunities and challenges presented by the merger.  I think we can all agree that Carl Dyer's recent appointment as Head of the UK National planning Team  has got us off to an excellent start!

Leading real estate law firm Irwin Mitchell has appointed Carl Dyer as Head of its UK National Planning team. Carl was previously Head of Planning at Thomas Eggar, the law firm that recently merged with Irwin Mitchell to create a truly national real estate practice. Partner, Martha Grekos remains as Head of the Planning and Infrastructure Team in London.

Carl Dyer will be working to build Irwin Mitchell’s planning team further, and heads a team of seven specialist planning lawyers who practice from the London, Manchester and Gatwick offices. Irwin Mitchell's planning team boasts clients which include IDI Gazeley, Redevco, Henry Boot, Welbeck Land, Christ’s Hospital, Mas Rei, and News Corporation UK Ltd

Planning is part of Irwin Mitchell’s national real estate practice, which since merger now consists of 50 partners and over 160 lawyers specialising in real estate law.”
